Our Children’s Church Pastor is Tommy Maher, who has faithfully and lovingly blessed the children of Commonwealth for over 10 years.  Our Children’s Church ministers to children ages 5yrs old to 10yrs old by addressing both their spiritual and physical needs. This is accomplished through structured teaching of God's Word in a variety of creative and exciting ways.

As the children grow older, more biblical truth is imparted to them in studies of creation, the life of Jesus, and acknowledging and responding to the Holy Spirit in their lives.  We don’t babysit kids, we build kids!

Personal note from Tommy:
"In Mark 10: 13-16 we see a picture of parents wanting Jesus to touch their child, Jesus not only touched their child but he laid hands on them and blessed them.  As children's leader there is no greater desire for me than each child to experience the touch of Christ before they leave the children's ministry.  For them to experience an encounter with Christ and the reality of who He is.  For them to know Him and be able to say I have been blessed by Christ for He has laid his hands upon me.  This is my greatest prayer for all the children who go through our children's ministry."
